You will have time to relax, get to know the group and get a good nights sleep. Supper will be provided. With plenty of room, everyone will have their own bed.

Aug 12 - Monday Day 2: The day will start with a hearty breakfast cooked on site by our private chef. We will spend the morning learning how to fish like a pro from some expert women in the fishing world. The goal is to equip you with the skills and knowledge needed to land some fish on our camping trip as well as when you head back home! After lunch, we will cover Wilderness First Aid with Wilderness First Responders, Chelsea and Lyndsay. Although this will be condensed, it will be a great introduction on what to do in a backcountry emergency and how to be prepared. We will then enjoy a delicious home cooked meal and enjoy some down time. We will bring out the bows and we can have fun hitting some targets!

Aug 13 - Tuesday Day 3: Early Tuesday morning, we will have a hearty breakfast at the lodge. We will prepare for our adventure by going over the pack list to ensure everyone has all the items they need and how to pack. Anything you don’t need to camp will be left at my house. We will head out to shoot rifles on our way to the canoe launch point. Your instructor will teach the fundamentals, rifle drills and most importantly get you comfortable shooting no matter your skill level. After lunch, we will head to our launch point to begin our canoe trip! After a canoe demo and safety brief, we will set off into the wilderness! The first day will be to “dip our toes in” and get a feel for canoeing. It will be a short canoe to our first camping spot where will cover how to set up tents, filter water, cooking meals etc.

Aug 14- Wednesday Day 4 : Wednesday we will break camp and will be spending most of the day on the water heading deeper into the backcountry. We will take our time, enjoying the scenery along the lake, watching for wildlife as we head towards our first portage, where I will demo how to safely carry a canoe in both one person and two person carrying techniques. Everyone coming, should expect to carry a canoe either solo or with your canoeing partner. We will stop along the way for lunch and a break when needed. We plan to arrive before supper, set up camp and enjoy some free time fishing, swimming and exploring.

Aug 15 - Thursday Day 5: Thursday will be a rest day at camp while you learn all about survival skills. from Lyndsay Persico, winner of Alone: The Beast. She survived 30 days alone in the Canadian Arctic and she is with us all week to teach you what she knows! We will also be covering basic navigation, water filtration, emergency situations, shelter building, bushcraft skills and more.
